We're Ella and Vicky, the people behind Common Room Social Craft Workshops based in Manchester.
We love crafts and are passionate about wellbeing as well as having an eye for beautiful objects in our home.
Vicky has a background in teaching and works in a college in Manchester city centre. She is a mum of two and has a passion for positive mental health and wellbeing and has a lot of volunteering experience in this area. Ella has a background in interior design and runs a garden and houseplant business, Ella’s Garden located in South Manchester.
Ella’s all about the aesthetics - she’s a pro behind a camera and has a great eye for detail. Vicky can have a more slap dash approach but together they make a dream crafting workshop delivering team.
Vicky and Ella have taken part in numerous craft workshops as customers but have felt underwhelmed by the standard of their wares which have been laid to rest in their ‘car gallery’ (i.e. the boot). So this sparked an idea for Common Room Social Workshops.
They wanted to create a space where people can come to make, create and do. Common Room is a social, informal space where you can come alone or with your friends to learn something new and make a piece that you’d be proud to show in your home and share on your grid.
